Seemingly, there has been some confusion about additional direct dissemination of CHAMP orbit prediction products to SLR stations. It has been a standard for years for the satellites processed at GFZ to deliver orbit prediction product files per email directly to SLR stations. We will keep this service for CHAMP, too. Based on the response to our questionnaire (mailed to SLR stations on May 18, 2000) we took the decision to forward directly the following product files to a number of SLR stations per email: product file | email subject --------------------------------+---------------------------------- Tuned InterRangeVectors (IRVs) | CHAMP orbit predictions Adjacent drag functions (DRAG) | CHAMP FR drag function News letter | CHAMP prd post --------------------------------+---------------------------------- To see examples for the format of IRVs- and DRAG-files see: ftp://ftp.gfz-potsdam.de/pub/champ/chftp1/slr/champ_irvs_000704_0.gfz ftp://ftp.gfz-potsdam.de/pub/champ/chftp1/slr/champ_drag_000704_0.gfz or the corresponding files at the relevant CDDIS-, EDC-directories (see SLRMail No. 0626).
