| Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 1997-07-02 13:00:00 UTC Message No. 71 ******************************************************************************** Author: Hiroo Kunimori, NASDA Subject: Urgent Request for ADEOS Tracking (3) Dear Colleagues, With No.141 TIRV which I sent you yesterday, ADEOS sun lit observation in CRL showed that time bias is +1 sec to 3 seconds which is much smaller than those using observation with No.139. No SLR data input since 2:00 UTC pass at Orroral June 30. Roger Wood, RGO reported that he observed visually with time bias -1.5 seconds to zero and even got several SLR return shots. Revised IRV using latest NORAD elements No.142 attached. The present goal is to identify the final orbit as precise as possible and orientation in which SLR could do anything in this week. Those information will be compiled within this month for investigation committe for ADEOS oparation failure in NASDA. SLR stations who is capable to range ADEOS try to catch and to send QLNP to ´ris@crl.go.jp´ in THIS week will be appriciated.
