Content: | ******************************************************************************** SLR Electronic Mail 2001-01-25 13:39:00 UTC Message No. 723 ******************************************************************************** Author: Franz-Heinrich Massmann, GFZ/D-PAF Oberpfaffenhofen, Subject: ERS-2 Anomaly GermanyTo: ILRS Stations ERS-2 Anomaly ----------- Dear colleagues, ESA has reported the following status and planning concerning the ERS-2 anomaly: - The problem seems to have been caused by the Digital Earth Sensor. - Test and upload of new patches will be performed within the next days. - On Sunday an orbit manoevre will be performed, afterwards the Mono-Gyro Mode will be entered, followed by the instruments switch-on. - An additional small correction manoeuvre might be necessary afterwards.
