ERS-2 Anomaly
-----------

Dear colleagues,

ESA has reported the following status and planning
concerning the ERS-2 anomaly:

- The problem seems to have been caused by the Digital
Earth Sensor.
- Test and upload of new patches will be performed
within the next days.
- On Sunday an orbit manoevre will be performed,
afterwards the Mono-Gyro Mode will be entered,
followed by the instruments switch-on.
- An additional small correction manoeuvre might be
necessary afterwards.

So we intend to provide new predictions on Monday.

Best regards

Franz-Heinrich Massmann
