Call for Proposals

Establishing the Special Bureau for Loading (SBL) in the Global Geophysical
Fluids Center (GGFC), International Earth Rotation Service (IERS)

Under the direction of its Directing Board, the IERS Central Bureau is
releasing this Call for Proposal, whose purpose is to establish a new
Special Bureau for Loading (SBL) in the IERS Global Geophysical Fluids
Center (GGFC). What is solicited is the ”willingness, readiness, and
capability” that will take the leadership role in this effort and the
ensuing service functions and operations. The lead proposer, under his/her
organizational/institutional support, is expected to become the Head of the
new SBL, joining GGFC and working very closely with the existing seven other
Special Bureaus (SBs). Note that IERS itself assumes no direct financial
responsibility.
