At its meeting in Nice, the ILRS Governing Board adopted a minimum data requirement for SLR normal points. This requirement, adopted at the recommendation of the Networks and Engineering Working Group is as follows: Daytime normal points - minimum 6 data points Night time normal points - minimum 3 data points Fewer data points would be acceptable on lower satellites (5-second normal points) from those ranging systems with lower pulse repetition rates where these minimum requirements are not practical. Minutes from the Networks and Engineering Working Group Meeting and the Governing Board Meeting can be found on the ILRS web site. The ILRS stations are requested to adopt this minimum data policy immediately. Thank you for your cooperation and let me know if you have any questions regarding this new policy.
