The page http://cddisa.gsfc.nasa.gov/lw13/lw_venue.html contains information on the workshop venue, the Smithsonian Institution, tourism companies in D.C., local climate in October, transportation to/from airports and around the city, as well as social events planned during the workshop. These links should provide attendees with information about the many attractions available within walking distance of the workshop venue. Many of the tour services have one or half-day tours of nearby landmarks. We are looking forward to meeting you all in a few weeks for a busy and, we hope, informative workshop.
